Transcortical motar aphasia
I am fascinated by the brain as a radiographer, so I am self-studying about it. When I reached the topic of Broca's and Wernicke's areas, I watched this video. We can indeed demonstrate these parts using functional MRI. Broca's Area (Speaker): Produces speech. Damage leads to broken, non-fluent speech, but understanding is intact. Wernicke's Area (Receiver): Understands speech. Damage leads to fluent but nonsensical speech and impaired understanding.
This happens because of damage of Arcuate fasciccules that basically connects Wernickers area to Broca's area
I feel like I have a very very mild version of this, where I get a couple words mixed up every once in a while but it might be due to my severe anxiety. I’m taking Lexapro soon to cure that.
I cannot get help but I have this. Just went to urgent care. But they never asked me about what may cause it. I'm upset about this. It's very disabling for me. Thank you.
is hemispatial neglect same with contralateral neglect ( sorry, english is not my first language)
Welcome to my world. I can’t al😢remember all the words when I’m trying to describe the first thing. Doesn’t matter. I forget what I’m talking about part way through anyway so whatever.
so is Broca's area just an auto fill functionality when talking?
Thank you very much ❤❤
bro said "okay that's FINE" as if he was pissed she did better than him
Simple, Brilliant!
Interestingly "um" is used like normal
Thank you
Bruce Willis also has aphasia, but he's non-verbal. Poor lad.
I'm had stroke all that all that. side bit of on a hottie
Severe Broca's aphasia with intact automatic speech (e.g., counting), and relatively preserved comprehension.
Trump has this disease
Thank you for sharing this, as a student it is very impactful
Thanks that gave me a much better understanding of aphasia than a textbook
Anyone wondering this is due to ischemia of middle cereberal artery in brain which can be caused by multiple reasons
Hello, 🐥🐦🐦🐦🦜🐦 God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ(His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, He grew up and died on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Jesus Christ sincerely to be God's child John 1:12. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on HIS name." That is great news! Will you sincerely receive Holy, Lord Jesus into your life today?
She speaks better than Donald Trump.
Amanda you are very cute, i had to say it sorry
than you so much
thank you... 🥲
So young 😔 God bless you 🙏🏾
is aphasia commonly known broadly in Spanish as "gago" ?
Premotor cortex and Supplementary Motor Cortex (Secondary Motor Cortex) (Supplementary motor area 6) is damage responsible storage movement , thanks for vibes i have deeper understanding

Bruce wills got Diagnosed with this. I hope he says he's 'living it on'.❤
I thought he has Anomic aphasia?
It's not a global aphasia...it's aphasia sensorial.,
What your wife hears when using logic against her emotional retorts
its broca aphasia
Can he write? Like would he write "todtodotodotodo" or "my name is John?"
I’m here for my lecture at university
These comments are repetitive contradicting aphasia…
I truly hope he fully recovered. My experience with Aphasia, I had a brain stroke this year and was affected with this. After a few weeks, my son and friends starting having humor with me with it because I was fully aware that the words I spoke were incorrect (couldn't say banana, etc.) but still couldn't say them. In our situation, it became very funny and we just went along with it as I healed. Not making fun of this, I had it, that was just how we dealt with it. Thank God that I'm recovering with it nicely 7 months later.
Was it a global??

He’s using stereotypes y’all. This is absolutely nonfluent aphasia, maybe mixed nonfluent.
People with aphasia don't know that they are struggling so much. The sad thing is they think everything is mostly OK. Maybe that's better but it's hard to see they aren't themselves
It depends what areas of the brain are effected. If production is impaired but comprehension is in tact you’d be completely salient that you can’t make the words come out.
Very helpful, thank you
thank you for the example !
It’s kinda cool to see myself through someone else. I was actually looking for a video on how to explain my situation and clicked this one instead. Makes me a hell of a loss less alone. Mind you this lady is like 50 years older than me but still
I'm sorry for you. I was studying neurology and searched this vid to see Alexia because I couldn't really imagine it, can I ask you how did you read the title or even write this reply?
That’s really cool :) I’ve been enjoying watching this channel to see how differently people can see and interact with the world through speech.

Thanks for your presentation. It's easy to understand.
Stay strong ! Thank you for sharing❤❤
excellent explanation but a little too fast
I have this problem too, I completely understand what she's going threw. 😢
